Data Collection and Analysis
We conduct both primary (field-based) and secondary (desk-based) research to inform housing policy and finance. Our work includes market diagnostics, surveys, spatial analysis (GIS), database development, housing ecosystem assessments, and tailored guidance—all designed to build a robust evidence-based assessment to guide current and future decision-making.
Policy and Program Design
Building on initial housing ecosystem assessments, we design programs and develop policy recommendations to address market inefficiencies and effectively leverage resources within the target market, contributing to more affordable and sustainable housing around the world. Our solutions have included, among others, national housing strategies and policies, innovative lending products, and sector-wide financial instruments. We ground this work with participatory processes that engage stakeholders at all levels—from community members to government ministers—to ensure inclusive and sustainable policy and program outcomes.
Investment Scoping and Strategy
We identify promising innovations within a specific asset class (e.g. student housing) or geography (e.g. Sub-Saharan Africa) to help both public and private sector investors locate potential investment opportunities in the affordable housing space.
Transaction Advisory
We are the industry’s go-to experts for successfully structuring complex affordable housing Public Private Partnerships (PPPs) in resource-constrained and challenging contexts. We develop feasibility assessments and procurement processes to help the public sector effectively partner with private entities.
