Consultancy for the identification and prioritization of housing programs in support of Peru’s new National Housing Policy

On behalf of the Ministry for Urban Development and Housing (MIDUVI), IDB contracted AHI alongside local experts Mutuo to identify, synthesize, and evaluate program options for social housing to facilitate the implementation of the new National Housing and Urbanism Policy and Sustainable Urban Development Law. AHI analyzed 10 housing programs in the LAC region that ran the gamut from large-scale urban development to land use planning policies. These programs were then compared with local housing programs currently operational in Peru which allowed us to tailor policy recommendations to the goals and objectives of the new housing policy.
