Capital Study for Faith-Based Housing Initiatives
Project Details
Enterprise Community Partners seeks to understand the scale of capital required and financing strategies necessary for faith-based organizations (FBOs) to develop affordable housing in Cleveland, OH and Detroit, MI. AHI is partnering with Detroit Future City (DFC) and the United Church of Christ Church Building Loan Fund (UCC) for this study.
· Conduct a thorough assessment of the affordable housing and capital market in Cleveland and Detroit for various types of affordable housing.
· Assess the affordable housing finance landscape in terms of capital sources, financial products or tools, lending terms, eligibility, and barriers to accessibility.
· Identify key constraints and resource requirements for FBO developers.
· Understand the financial landscape and critical funding gaps and provide finance and policy recommendations on instruments best suited for cultivating enabling conditions for FBOs.
