Design and Facilitation of a Training Workshop on Affordable Housing Financing for CRRH-UEMOA

AHI was commissioned by CRRH-UEMOA to design and deliver a training module on affordable housing finance in emerging countries aimed at CRRH-UEMOA administrators in order to deepen their understanding of the subject and provide them with relevant comparative data.

We conducted an assessment of affordable housing finance in the WAEMU Region and developed four case studies on innovative solutions:

• Public and private sector financing of affordable housing in South Africa
• Refinancing of savings and credit cooperatives (SACCOs) in Kenya
• Affordable housing finance institutions (AHFC) in India
• Mortgage guarantee products for informal and/or low-income workers (FOGARIM) in Morocco
