Financial restructuring of housing microfinance company in South Africa

AHI provided financial restructuring advice to a housing microfinance company in South Africa, serving low-income groups (households earning less than US$250 per month) working in the informal sector and in need of housing finance. We assisted the housing microfinance company in developing a recapitalization plan and identifying potential capital (equity and debt) sources. Our work included conducting a due diligence of the entity’s headquarters and branch office in South Africa as well as identifying and prioritizing potential capital sources and preparing marketing and pitch materials for distribution to potential investors/partners.
