WHEDA plays an essential role in housing and economic development within the State of Wisconsin, because although fully accountable to the state via its public governance, under its authorizing legislation it has broad flexibility to act as a program participant as well as program-shaping institution through its administration of resources. AHI was hired to help WHEDA determine how to best use their resources to address important housing and housing-interconnected challenges that are arising in Wisconsin. Working under the direction of WHEDA’s Executive Director, Wyman Winston, AHI (via Recap Advisors, Inc.) provided consulting assistance in developing WHEDA’s Strategic Reinvention Plan to ensure that WHEDA can adopt an overall corporate strategy to thrive, and expand its impact to tackle new challenges, regardless of the range of possible futures.
