Project Details

The overarching objective of this study, commissioned by the Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC), was to provide short, medium, and long-term recommendations for the appropriate response and intermediate actions by the various stakeholders (central government, local government, private sector, civil society, international development agencies, and relief organizations) to improve access to adequate housing for Syrian refugees and vulnerable host communities in Lebanon.  Recommendations were made based on a comprehensive evaluation of the formal and informal rental and ownership housing ecosystems in Lebanon, drawing on relevant regional and international experiences, and building on the extensive existing studies that have already been conducted on this topic, to avoid repetition.   Final Report →
