Regional Analysts



Sam Datlof, Guatemala Regional Analyst

In his role as AHI’s Guatemala Regional Analyst, Sam Datlof conducts research to produce a Guatemala housing ecosystem , which assists AHI in the development of housing finance programs and policies to enhance housing provision, and provides consulting and support to AHI associates and clients. Sam’s passion for international economic development in Latin America and his economic development training has led him to join the AHI team. He graduated summa cum laude from Brandeis University and majored in both International Studies and Politics.



Noel Sampson, Nicaragua Regional Analyst

Noel Sampson first joined AHI as Central America research intern, during which experience he assisted Central America Associate Pilar Gohring in establishing AHI’s network and presence in Nicaragua via interviews with major stakeholders in housing provision, research of Nicaragua’s housing delivery system, and establishment of a business development strategy for the region. He now joins AHI as Nicaragua Regional Analyst, a position that allows him to assist in the exploration of hybrid value chain collaborations for housing microfinance. Noel works to develop a comprehensive housing ecosystem for Nicaragua. He is in his last year of the International Cooperation and Urban Development graduate program at the University of Darmstadt.



Surili Sheth, Global Analyst

As AHI’s Global Analyst based in the Boston office, Surili contributes to active projects through researching and building housing ecosystems, analyzing housing supply and demand value chains, and contributing towards strategic outputs to AHI’s clients. Following her graduation from the Ohio State University with summa cum laude distinctions for her degree in Economics and Political Science , Surili was a Research Associate with the Abdul Latif Jameel Poverty Action Lab (South Asia) based in Andhra Pradesh, where she helped to design and manage an 8000-household survey for the state government’s Biometric Smartcards project. In combination with her expertise and field experience in economic development, Surili also brings to the AHI team her fluency in Gujarati and Hindi.
