AHI is working with South Africa-based Centre for Affordable Housing Finance in Africa (CAHF) to collect data on the costs of a basic, entry-level house across over a dozen countries in Africa and to perform in-depth analysis to understand what drives costs differences both between and within different countries. To realize this aim, the project entails developing and implementing a methodology through which the performance of different housing markets in Africa can be legitimately compared over time.
